That NGX video would have been great, but all through it I found myself looking at the dirty lens and wishing that it could be cleaned. Not sure what sort of effect they were trying to capture, but for me, it ruined the whole video. Behind the scratches, the video was good, but spoilt by the dirty lens and the scratches. But the wingsuit video, WOW. Must look to see if I have some baggy trousers anywhere. smooth landings.

Multiplayer ID: G-BPLF I like your gear, obviously setting up for FSX must take a while but I'm sure you get plenty of time to plan your next move during game play - probably have 5 or 10 minutes to think things over before you apply the next increment of bank . . . . . Actually you must be talented too in order to get it to run on this gear /laugh.gif style=...

QUOTE (IslandBoy77 @ Jan 24 2013,9:17 PM) Jayden: that's a very wise thing to do. With FSX being so long in the tooth now, and W8 being such a major Windows revision, it's only prudent to know what one is "in for". It sounds like there aren't any obvious problems with FSX itself as yet (and maybe never, as such), but add-ons are something else. I'm just as interested to see if any drivers will cause FSX any issues, even if those issues are "only" a drop in frame-rate due to video drivers being TOO new, or a loss of picture quality due to the same....

Agreed. I keep an eye on Flightgear as well, but as with Outerra, my current video card doesn't like the current crop of drivers. As noted, Flightgear is a bit crude graphics wise, but while they have a bit of work to do to catch up to some of the Outerra fundamentals, they are quite a way ahead in terms of the actual real-world flying side of things. As noted, it will be a big task to start bolting on an actual flight sim to the Outerra engine (even though I think flying is one of the most ideal fits for Outerra), and it will be interesting to see whether such is open-sourced or picked...

sorry, I was having some real problems here earlier, must be the late nights. i have reposted a new thread. Thanks. I tried to match the colour as close as I could. QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Jan 27 2013,3:07 PM) Strangely enough the grass tones are very similar unless against a mountain region or close to a river/waterway .. mid North grassland equals the Mckenzie country , Northland grass's in summer equal that in Central Otago in many seasons , think its the trees , always the pine misplacing the geography which is more akin the snow line or cultivated areas . I use it on iPad ( the full version ) and it's great. To get it to use FSX rather than GPS inputs, you need the free easy to use plug in from here: I've gone into little further detail on my blog and in the current NZ Aviation News. /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />
