Also: Because MSFS does not yet have a Replay function (!) there's a free recording addon which does the job, apparently. Can't do that greaser landing without having a second look, eh?

Was there a week ago dropping my daughter off for a domestic flight, spotted the Texel machine sitting just behind ParcelAir ZK-PAQ about a wings width away with the same orientation, seems to be in the ANZ hard stand area as of that time. Pink-X marks the spot  Can't see it in this shot, only other view was blocked, but it's directly behind, can just see ground shadows beneath ZK-PAQ which is kinda at Stand 51?

Just personalise and scale the display! I have had the odd yen to do this with FS9, but I threw it all away and the memories (Fond) are sufficient.

It would be nice to see an accurate tree and vegetation mod for NZ. Something that we still lack after the update. Wellington still has patches of lime green hills and trees which still look unrealistic

Probably stating the obvious, but I didn't realise till now that the last Boeing 747 was painted differently on each side. I thought parts of Sam Chui's video was stock footage.

Ok I think I've got it. I'm using G1000 in XP-12 Just used SimBrief to create a plan from NZCH to YSSY First entry in the route is BAVE6P. So that is the departure that I have to manually add to the G1000 flight plan?

Enjoying Xp12 beta 14 decided to update the CPU and Ram to RYZEN 5900x and a 3600 ram. The new Cpu is now steady on stock 4200Mhz and allows me to use my multi screen system (x5 screens) to fly the airports like EGLL with a 20 to 24 FPS without being hamstrung. i am using full cloud settings Max,texture quality Max,SSAO Medium, FSR off, 4xMSA, 16X, Shadow quality medium, Rendering distant High, World objects High,Vegetation Medium, Parked aircraft tick, Enable 3D vegetation tick. Monitor configuration lateral view 70 degrees. default monitors 1980x1080 x 4, nividia FPS set at limit 35FPS...

I try to keep my MSFS fairly lean, and I'm still concentrating only on NZ. Mind you, I dunno what happened recently; there have been three changes and MSFS was ok after each of them; the main update that was just released; an Nvidia driver update ; a SPAD.Next update, in that order. But all of a sudden I'm seeing 2FPS in some cases! Yes .... I didn't mis-spell "20" ... TWO!! I honestly can't be arsed to troubleshoot it. If I get on and it gives me crap performance, I just exit and do something else. Of course, I know having such an old rig now doesn't help, but I was seeing 30-50...

I took a screen shot of the flight plan but couldn't work out how to attach it here. However, I have watched some more YouTube videos on the subject & will put that knowledge into practice. As I see it, unless you edit the plan & link the main route to the start of the approach, then you have to manually make the change at some point. Hence my original question.

I'm not sure how they compare with other countries internationally, I think NZ's airspace is fairly open though compared to a lot of places. There are relatively few areas that are completely off limits, mostly just around military bases and areas with sensitive infrastructure or wildlife sanctuaries. Also, the AIP pages which describe the various meteorological minima in detail can be found here: (knowledge of these is the bane of many a student pilot... ^_^ )

Im not sure how to post a url of someone else's post but one of the guys here put up a post, which I cant find now, concerning photoreal scenery on the West Coast NZ with images/jpegs. I try to click on them to view but nothing happens] That could be some of my West coast NZ scenery and been posted by either the late Ian Warren or myself and to my memory those images where hosted on the Australian hosting site OZx I think it was called but it folded taking all the images with it. If I knew which Post it was and it was one of mine I may still have the images on my HDD and could upload them...
