QUOTE (Splitpin @ Nov 12 2014,9:19 AM) As I was drifting off to sleep last night , thinking about ... did I lock the garage? , do shrimps communicate ?, will 6 tomato plants be enough to share with the family? ..... did I lock the garage ?? , you know , the usual stuff. /winkyy.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= ;) border= 0 alt= winkyy.gif /> And then , I started compiling an FS bucket list . It went something like this .... 3: Perfect FS9 port overs for FSX (no prop disc's that disappear in cloud) I still think a good Jag would be great /laugh.gif style=...

QUOTE (gdavies @ Nov 9 2014,9:03 PM) What is the default mesh resolution in FSX and/or Prepar3d? Would you expect a 15m mesh be much of an improvement? FSX mesh for NZ is based on SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission) data, resampled from 90m to about 75m. But just installing a higher resolution mesh isn't going to work well, as there are plenty of other scenery components which are linked to a specific elevation, and these tend to be linked to a specific mesh. So you'd need to redo any elevation-linked data, especially airport flattens. That's what Orbx does, and it...

A question comes to mind. Since this has been an FSX problem since the get-go, has P3D corrected it?

A great little video, what a lot of people maybe will not know, at the end off WWII, they were flying brand new B-24s and B-17s factory fresh directly to the scrap yard, the large portion, it was there first 'test flight' and last flight, this also happened many of the fighters.

If you are flying in the real world, I would use AIP. If you are flying in the sim, I would use PlanG, which has probably built it's data from in game. Let's not forget FSX has been out a long time now. It's as much a time machine as it is a simulator. /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />

Oh right, well then, I happily stand corrected, and better educated /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif /> I was aware of some collaborations between developers etc, and of course many between developers and publishers, but this one I was not aware of until now. Thanks for the info!
