Thanks Charl- it turns out the .bmp you sent me was exactly the same as the one I already had, which I thought had been modified by Real Enviroment Pro. Anyhow, please could you just confirm something for me? Above is a screenie of the POSKY 747 in Air NZ colours, in FS9 with aircraft reflections ticked. Is it just me or are those reflections a little over the top? It would be nice to see someone else post a screenshot of the same aircraft with the same settings as me to comapare. Cheers

easy solution for that, remove the whole gauges folder Lol you could actually do that and just use the 'shift+z' red lines of text at the top of the screen for guidence!

There's a utility called filemon, which monitors what files are being read and written on your machine. Load it up and then start FS. Man, things get busy! You will see all those many files that get loaded up, just to initialise the program. Aircraft are top of the slowdown list.

On FS2002 I tried to install some PAI aircraft but they didn't show up. (I fit helps, I didn't put in the traffic.ddl). I put them into flight plans, went to where the aircraft should have shown up, but as I said before, they didn't

Just a word of warning: I think forcefeedback joysticks require more CPU power than normal ones, and can cause a drop in performane in FS! I cannot believe all joysticks are not built like the MS Force Feedback. Using a sim without FF would be like...oh, there are parallels, but this is a family forum. I've not noticed any performance drop using one. It simply adds another sense to the whole experience. I'm just sad it can't reproduce the smell of burning rubber.

Take your bus for a blat down Auckland's active runway- get up to 80 kms & pull the stick back. If you're feeling reckless drop it into the Manukau harbour! I must get out more...........

I'm also a 0.75er. My biggest problem is forgetting to alter it until I'm in the air, most unrealistic pulling over to change. Anyone figured out how to default it to that setting ? Yes you can make the zoom permanant, under the "views" section of the panel.cfg you can change the line "VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=XX.X" Replacing XX.X with the zoom factor you want. Should look like this: " VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=4.5 VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.75 " I noticed defualt aircraft dont have this line, I suppose you could simply add it in, most addon aircraft's panel.cfgs seem to...

You guys should use our SAAB 2000 it was one of the fastest turboprops ever nearly reaching the speed of a 737, would be a great advantage and you could fly in NZFF colours  >nzflag< Bit of a handfull to land though
