I think you've hit the nail on the head Robin (and others too) firstly about cosmic balance and secondly about valuing only what you pay for. Aren't the best things in life free? When I had a 450 P2 I used his stuff and often it was the only model of a particular plane available. I used to make these spider webs from copper wire and sell them at craft markets and I learned so much about human beings it was mind blowing! I couldn't sell these webs at $15 so I lowered them to $12. Still no luck so I changed the price to $25 and they sold like hotcakes! This is...

Perhaps you should forget about a new graphics card for now and buy a wicked joystick  say...the X52pro mmm Or perhaps the Ch yoke woudl be a good investment since your doing real training now? and then ruder pedals, Iv read of ppl that have saved many hours practicing things by practicing in ther sim (such as x wind landings,,) Just a thought..

Im useing firefox 2 with no add blocks (for some reason the downloading of the add bloker seems harder than putting up with the adds!) and I can see excacly the same amount of adds as have been since I joined avsim.. Your on fast internet anyway, its us "56kers" that suffer most from adds... (unless you downloaded a hell of alot and were slowed down to dial up :P )

So what was it you didnt like about trackIR dave? I suppose its somethign that suits some ppl and doesn't for others.. PIty you can't "test" such an expensive product first ae... I have a Track IR4 Pro myself. It can be fun as hell sometimes and other it gets "boring" ( you move your head a tiny bit & your viewpoint moves heaps which gets a bit annoying.

Was even more surprised to see the January issue of Toady's Pilot on sale in Whitcoull's - the April issue went on sale today back home! At least the roller coaster approach into Welly lived up to it's name! -- Knackered of Karori

Cool I live in Auckland howiever I did the one in Christchurch and I aso did -NZCH - NZWN (T'n'G) - NZCH I hear a rumour that they are planning on putting one (a Flight Experience) into the new 'Entertainment' Stage 3 development at Sylvia Park. Seems a bit odd with the one at Botany Town Centre 'just around the corner'... I might go along for a look-see once I get around to learning the heavy metal and all that goes along with it (FMC programming, more than one engine :D )

have you got the battery or generator switches in the right place? reminds me of when ZK-TJL and I were flying joint cockpit on FSX- couldn't work out why the landing gear wouldn't retract, it was because i had switched off the hydraulic system. ^_^

Sometimes we have a short ferry leg to pick up pax or coming home after dropping them off, Budapest to Vienna and local flights within austria are very short and busy. These are alot of fun as you are normally very light and have no pax to worry about. We also do medical flights with organs for transplant around europe, best pax, they don't complain and are normally light on baggage. Hearts, lungs, livers the odd pancreas too. Had a flight from Salzburg to Innsbruck recently and was able to do a 45deg turn after takeoff to make a tight departure procedure as we were time limited with our...

You could also take a look at Flightsim Commander. The demo version is unrestricted for 30 minutes. It'll also run on a second computer, linked through WideFS. For FSX it's the only choice since FSNav won't run.

In terms of panel views being obscured in VC, in FSX I had a similar issue until I discovered if you hit the A button it will cycle through a number of panel closeups still in VC view to get around the problem, its fast, has sensible locations to get at those awkward spots under the yoke or tweak the radio, and works well once you are familiar with it. If I had read the manual it wouldnt have taken me 2 months to find it <_< Jon.........That's classic :D . Gutted!!!!!!! HAHAHA Any way.........I'm more VC since I got FSX. Currently I spend most of my...
