I remember seeing a 3 view of that - didn't know they actually built it - that was the Britten side of Britten Norman - the Norman side of Britten Norman also made some interesting aircraft that almost made it - the Firecracker, Turbo Firecracker (military trainers), the Fieldmaster (ag plane) and the Freelance (which orginally was the BN-3 Nymph - sort of a 172 look alike).

Hmm..from what I can remember, I think either the tail hook key or wing fold might have done it....I know one of those opens the stairs from under the tail section. If it's not one of those, probably just the normal shift + e, shift + e 2 etc.

Mmph and I thought I was being cute in finding an FS5 screenshot. /cool.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= B-) border= 0 alt= cool.gif /> Have to modify the histogram a little then, back to '84. Budget too, add maybe 5 million pounds for that one. You're right, though...kids always reaching for that ultimate toy, and it's always - just - out of reach.

Beaten! I was reading this article last night and thinking... "I should post that bit about the approach being +/- 30 Degrees for Cat A/B and +/- 15 for Cat C/D"... So technically the Tauranga approach is "straight in"...

QUOTE (mfraser @ Sep 23 2008, 11:45 AM) as for the Formula 1 style paddles........ WTH over!?!? /tongue.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :P border= 0 alt= tongue.gif /> With other products on the market you would think they'd try and improve the product, rather than stick buttons all over it to try and impress Joe Pilot! Heh... thats what i initially thought too.. but I think by 2 'flipper' buttons, they mean the little grey buttons on the front face of the main unit... I am sure the black "F1 style paddles" looking things are part of the...

Thanks Charl. I would like to look at getting the Alphasim one, but I'm betting it will be too expensive for me right now. So I look forward to the screenshots that will hopefully be posted here /biggrin.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :D border= 0 alt= biggrin.gif /> Thanks for the links.

The coastlines look more like a faulty topo scenery install than mesh. Here's the quick answer to why there are not as many FSX addons: Most freeware projects take a long time to complete, from when someone decides to start a project to when it is completed is more likely to be a year or two. (I'm not talking about actual development time, most of this is just psyching yourself up to start:) And once you finish a project and look to start another, you can either use the skills you've gained and start another FS2004 project, or take another year or two to learn to develop for FSX....

QUOTE (Alex @ Sep 14 2008, 03:34 PM) In most of these cases the host has little to do with the upload, other than ensuring it doesn't have viruses, and the description is accurate. Ask for it to be removed for sure. Other people uploading your file to other sites seems to relatively common though, which can be a bit of a pain. Alex I guess so, they uploaded my LOTR paint but gave me credit so that doesn't bother me, but to take away my credit... I could just try and upload them myself to cause trouble /rolleyes.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt=...

QUOTE (Chairman @ Sep 10 2008, 09:53 AM) They're not actually closed, they just don't have any products at the moment and their developers are working on other projects. But they're not closed /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif /> The development of the fsx B200 was apparently taken over by Flight 1 about a year ago. I didn't spot any mention of this in the Aeroworx forum until yesterday when this post appeared. The facts that Aeroworx have maintained absolute silence about it even when asked how progress was going and that...

Vroute is excellent for general flight planning and is free but if you wish to export the plan to an FMC then you will need the premium version with is a little expensive at 22 Euros or around NZ$45. At this stage it can export to the Flight 1 ATR, Level D 767, 767 PIC and the PMDG 737/747. It will also do fuel calculations. To my mind you would have to use it frequently to justify the outlay. Cheers Steve

Cost can vary the cheapest I've seen is $100 US by a guy who pulled a keyboard apart and rewired the buttons to switches for an F-16 pit and he modeled almost every button and switch in the end he could do a full rampstart with it so it can be done cheaply. For a civ aircraft you can get panels, gauges and dials similar to real aircraft but it does get expensive. The ideal setup would include a yoke/hotas and a projector you should pick a particular aircraft and model it off that.
