QUOTE (SeanTK @ Jun 9 2010, 05:18 AM) FSRecorder is the way to go for camera angles too! It does so much more than the multi-aircraft shots. Basically put, ANY camera angle that you want, you can get with this program. Also, for the 2004 version, get 1.33....don't get the latest Beta. It changes things up too much! Great, thanks very much .....time to play /smile.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= :) border= 0 alt= smile.gif />

I submitted my review about the C140 last Friday, but Trolly has to approve it before it goes to the public. I think you can expect it this week.

Have a look here for some tips on flying IFR. Also take a look at this to help you visualise how a VOR works.

It'll be highly dependent on your GPU. Those with higher end GPU's should only notice a small drop (if any). It certainly gives the sim world a more realistic look.

QUOTE (toprob @ May 14 2010, 12:14 PM) So I don't go too far off-topic, I won't post the screenshot here, but I will point to it -- Milford Sound in VLC. I went and got the Trislander out of my FS2004 hangar and flew in and out of Milford Sound in FS2004, some comparison! Well at least the runway is down where it should be and not 800 feet higher........????? So the question I ask of you is where do I access this VLC you mention (what ever that means) so that I do not have to fly in c..p like the above OR the FSX stuff at the head of this thread? Thanks

QUOTE (Adamski @ May 13 2010, 02:26 PM) I really like the info too! However - it seems a shame to slap it over the image, IMHO. Could it be done as a mouseover/tooltip instead, I wonder? A fair point, but really the image is there to serve and promote the forum, so this is one way of doing it -- if it can spark a couple of new entries into the comp, then it's done its job. And the banner image has already gone through some radical editing, with the crop, plus the full image is always available within the comp thread.

One thing I forgot to put in my list -- shadows. I actually love FSX shadows, even if they are a bit buggy. Living in a country with high sunshine hours and very little ozone layer means that shadows play a bit part in what we see. One of the first things I learnt in photography was to see shadows as objects. And there are plenty of airports in NZ where you'd need to rely on shadows to orient yourself amongst all that bright tarmac. But FSX shadows suck power from my system. That's one of the main reasons why I'd love to upgrade my computer -- everything else I can cope with, but...

QUOTE Do you mean above that it will sit reasonably ok with the Christian's 20m mesh, which I already own? Yep. Although, like many airports in FS9, the 20m mesh will position NZCH atop a slight plateau (unfortunately it's just the nature of the beast). QUOTE And do I need Roads and Rivers as well? I seem to remember they made a big difference, but can't remember what scenery I was using at the time. Well, I wouldn't leave home without it /laugh.gif style= vertical-align:middle emoid= border= 0 alt= laugh.gif /> In fact, Roads & Rivers (or NZ Topo) is what makes NZ...

QUOTE (jastheace @ Mar 17 2010, 06:17 AM) i use UT2 and Active sky evo, it seems they have nailed all the bugs of the previous versions, no more sudden wind shifts etc Well ... I went a bit mad - read some forums and decided to risk UT2. Overall, I'm very pleased. The AI models are *much* better and I've managed to map some of my flyable aircraft to AI. As a test, I generated a load of military traffic for Whenuapai, using my CS C-130's and B757's plus the Kawasaki Orions. It really brings things to life. I also tweaked some of the GA flights to use NZ repainted...
