Hi guys, I have been into flight simming since the land was green ( just green ) and the sea was blue, that was back in 95 I think. Today I still have and get a great deal of pleasure cruising into new places on the sim I have built up over the years, but have a slight problem now. I am an Orbx fan and have many of their addons, but all of which are taking a toll on my poor old PC. As I live in Whangarei, I would like to know if there are any other sim fans who could give me some guidence on how to get the best from my setup. I do enjoy my simulator, but get very frustated trying to nut out...

I think the idea is to make it easier showing a description, logic to show weather one has seen it before, but also as we progress, links and general help .. one stop shop.

It would be nice to see an accurate tree and vegetation mod for NZ. Something that we still lack after the update. Wellington still has patches of lime green hills and trees which still look unrealistic

Probably stating the obvious, but I didn't realise till now that the last Boeing 747 was painted differently on each side. I thought parts of Sam Chui's video was stock footage.

Ok I think I've got it. I'm using G1000 in XP-12 Just used SimBrief to create a plan from NZCH to YSSY First entry in the route is BAVE6P. So that is the departure that I have to manually add to the G1000 flight plan?

Enjoying Xp12 beta 14 decided to update the CPU and Ram to RYZEN 5900x and a 3600 ram. The new Cpu is now steady on stock 4200Mhz and allows me to use my multi screen system (x5 screens) to fly the airports like EGLL with a 20 to 24 FPS without being hamstrung. i am using full cloud settings Max,texture quality Max,SSAO Medium, FSR off, 4xMSA, 16X, Shadow quality medium, Rendering distant High, World objects High,Vegetation Medium, Parked aircraft tick, Enable 3D vegetation tick. Monitor configuration lateral view 70 degrees. default monitors 1980x1080 x 4, nividia FPS set at limit 35FPS...

I try to keep my MSFS fairly lean, and I'm still concentrating only on NZ. Mind you, I dunno what happened recently; there have been three changes and MSFS was ok after each of them; the main update that was just released; an Nvidia driver update ; a SPAD.Next update, in that order. But all of a sudden I'm seeing 2FPS in some cases! Yes .... I didn't mis-spell "20" ... TWO!! I honestly can't be arsed to troubleshoot it. If I get on and it gives me crap performance, I just exit and do something else. Of course, I know having such an old rig now doesn't help, but I was seeing 30-50...

I took a screen shot of the flight plan but couldn't work out how to attach it here. However, I have watched some more YouTube videos on the subject & will put that knowledge into practice. As I see it, unless you edit the plan & link the main route to the start of the approach, then you have to manually make the change at some point. Hence my original question.
