The Bee and I ....again.

The things I get myself into.
Today I was wandering around campus looking at some down pipe work that was done last night ...as you do, when I was approached by two little girls from the junior school.
They informed me they had found a "Bumbling bee" stuck in a spider web, and could I help it......Ahhhhh. I could have just said it will be ok....but I didn't.
They escorted me to the scene , after I found a teacher to come as well....otherwise it wasn't going to happen.
Sure enough, one of those big bumbles was well and truly stuck and really pissed off.....no sign of the web builder.

Anyway, I ended up in the sick bay...with the bee, that I had extracted carefully from the web but still silk bound. Put it under a light and proceeded to remove the silk with a pair of tweezers...leaving the wings until the end just in case he took off.
Meanwhile the two kids and teacher had tracked me down and were asking how it was going...."slowly" I replied....kids ask "what's his name ?" ....... me .."I haven't asked....but you can''

Long story short...."BB" was released silk free and last seen heading at high speed to the nor west.

A wonderful story. Marty and Mike!.... :D ...!
I do the very same with tiny creatures that I observe are in difficulty!
I look at these tiny creatures and note that they are very similar to me...
.... just very much smaller!... :o ...!
My house and garden are full of these very intelligent creatures just wanting to go about their daily and nightly lives!
My House Spiders keep me company every day, as I observe them watching my every movement!.... :) ....!
They are truly amazing!.... :D ...!
Paul...in the World Wide Web!.. ...!

One little beggar of a spider, with a fuselage less than 2mm in diameter, set up this web in my flying machine a few years back.
