Was up around the Lake Rotoiti area today and took a few photos.
Boy it looked great and some nice fresh air is always good.

Looks very nice, now...would a WW1 aircraft be nice in one of those pictures or what?

Wow, that first shot looks so 'fake', with the contrast between the stark snowy mountains and lower green hills, especially in the first shot. It reminds me of FS, when you have a photoreal airport with summer ground textures and fly with a snowing winter weather theme... still looks beautiful though. Thanks for posting Gavin!

Yip, we have tried that before but those mountains are a bit to far away.
The photos below were taken two days after Classic Fighters 2007 believe it or not.
Have flown with the Triplanes quite a few times and the shot below is still towards the top of my list.
Cant get up to the brass monkey this year, too much other stuff to do.

Great shots Gav for ever thumbup1.gif , .. looking.... forget the aircraft , i,m now studying how sharp the contrast of the ground textures are , in such a small area , the very cold hight,s , a very stripped piece of waste land to plush green paddock , down to a very typical NZ river bed smile.gif
