One of my favourite road signs. It's about 45km to the turnoff for my place. (Courtesy of Google Street View)

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Tell you what: I'll pay my own entry if you figure out how to get there from Auckland!
It seems to be around 6,000km
EDIT: And 2 flights with at least a 6 hour layover.
I think RAAF Darwin wants to remain undiscovered.

Queensland is quite large of course, so when you ask 'How far is..." you mostly get an answer in days rather than k's :D

Charl, I found these:
19/7 AirNZ AUK 0635 BNE 0830 or Qantas QF120 0615 BNE 0810 Virgin VA447 BNE 0945 DRW1340
21/7 Air NZ7843 DRW 0130 SYD 0615/0845 NZ 110AUK 1355

Might be hard to get a seat outbound on Air NZ

Well sleuthed, sir.
Some truly fierce departure times there, I think the last time I did anything at 0130 would've been last century, and probably illegal :ph43r:

For those few who might've missed the show... :D
Searching YouTube for exercise pitch black 2024 will yield a whole day's worth of watching.
I spent time on Day 1 Flying Ops which has good close-up footage

The Mitsubishi F-2 is interesting, essentially a Japanese knockoff of the F-16, hence known as Viper-zero.
It's slightly bigger too, I reckon it looks Da Bizzness.
