First flight back on the old horse

Postby cowpatz » Sun Sep 25, 2022 4:23 pm

Departing LAX ZK-OKO NZ5 21 Sept local. Taxying down B for a departure on 25R.
Great to be back on it but catching Covid wasn't that great.

Lovely shot, that.
Don't you love all them wall to wall lights as you climb out of KLAX?

A few for CP from AFS2, with OKO...a bit dark, but night shots tend to be like that

Thanks CP - I only use AFS2 at the moment. The new AFS4 is better, in that lights actually light things up and APs and FMCs are improved further. I am still coming to grips with that "what's it doing now?" sort of flying. The flight model for the 777 seems a bit overpowered - on climb-out in autopilot it can show nearly +7000 ft/min which seems rather improbable. Of course that could just be me not setting the FMC correctly. :o
