ikbenik - featured October 2021

Image

I'm actual 68 years old and retired from my young age of 57 but ever since not been bored one day. I live in the centre of belgians largest coastal city Oostende and year
around here are cultural and touristic activities to share, next to that a bunch of fine restaurants to choose from with my beloved wife and family(=2 sons and ther partner).

I have not a real-flight history except as passenger on my many trips to many countries of our world but not yet as the, for me, far Australia&New Zeland regio.
Due to the annoying Covid-19 restrictions travels outside my direct environment are not yet planned...

As virtual flyer I started with FSX as I remember begin 2007 and experienced now 14 years later the evolution 'as real as it gets'. Now via MSFS the simulation of the reality
is closeby. It's hard for the competitors P3D, XP and AFS2 to compete but having building up add-on's, who are not interchangeable, I still use more than just one flightsim.

In respect of Simming not only practising virtual flying but also racing, driving, shipping and also FPS-games is sometimes a relaxing moment sitting before my PC or Laptop.

Great banner for future October!!

Is that livery for 777 real or fictional? If it is real livery, then what is the registration number for that so that I can look for repaint. Thanks.

It's fictional. Looks nice though.

Wasn't it the original livery for OKQ?

Is this livery for FSX, P3D, XP11 or (gasp!!) MSFS? And ... whose 777 is it?

I ask because I generally hate the "All Black" liveries, but this one does look good!

"LINDSTRIM" is correct.

It "IS" ZK-OKQ .... the livery it supported ("CRAZY ABOUT RUGBY" theme .... also supported by 2 A320's too) when first delivered to ANZ.

Therefore it "IS" R/W .... as per this image I shot of it at LAX ....

The FS version (pictured within the banner) is "possibly" the SKYPIRIT B773 model .... for FS2004 and FSX.

It's "possibly" the November 2012 texture produced by Carlos Eduardo SALAS (he did it twice but his NOV 2012 version is more accurate) .... unless something else had been produced by someone else more recently and for another 3D model.

Hello to All guessing the origin of the nice colored B777 in the banner --> it's a livery created by someone for the in IPACS-AFS2 Simulator default available plane. The 3 other planes on the banner are also shot via AFS2.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

It is close but is not the same. The actual livery does not have the caramel brown section of the fern (its grey, although personally I like the one depicted)and the engine cowlings and wings are the standard Boeing grey and not white.

In AFS2, you can easily move the Sun to where you want it, as this 1m mp4 shows :D T and Shift+T move time forward and back.
