Peculiarities of the modern Russian Air Force. Some nice comparisons with the US and narrative from both sides.

That is the best part, both comparing the aircraft capabilities, It was the same when the 29 was first displayed in the late 1980s .. some great with if comments , back then the Sukhoi's were still in a gestation.

Its great watching video like this, then read about missions in Vietnam, also amazing the loss's, another interesting fact was Anderson AFB in Guam, due to the slight levels and since in the tropics the tarmac got greasy mossy slim growing, couple of occasions the wind blew the B-52 sideways and they were fully loaded.

Great doco on the history of the 747. Also shows the painful and disgusting situation that 001, the first finds itself in...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gI_xl2cZaw0

There's also a nice little bit on UA811 HNL-AKL. Now a little history on this flight, a cargo door blew out and ripped the side oof the plane, but it landed safely back at HNL. BUT there was a kiwi on board who died in the incident and it was his parents that led the charge in the investigation that followed and got the to the REAL cause of the accident and got things changed so it wouldn't happen again. Good ol' Kiwi determination...

This video shows that story https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNc69QAZYj0

Falsifying records, evening biffing them out, seen that engineering practice myself and was told to do things there way and shut-up, I laughed my head off and told one manager what exactly was going to happen .... typical when you get brown noses in a work place.

One thing I did was start doing drawings for customers and start change design, worked there 27 years , then last 3 year at another engineering place , one unbelievable example was a main component made out off 316 Stainless steel with M4 thread, that was fine but the idiot had 5/32 brass nuts for locknuts  ... these were for little detonators for the US Army and they all come back ... some people should not be in engineering.
