For FS2004 diehards.
Not sure what it is like but looks ok.

On AVSIM file name: hs__bk117_base.zip

Or try this link.

Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

Diehard here... diehard downloader too, your data cap better be intact before you start.
Remember when there was a 100MB limit on files uploaded to the major sites?

Looks good. Now all we need is a FSX native version.
ASUS GT630 2GB, 2GB DDR2 RAM, 1.78 GHz Core 2 Duo, with Vista SP2... 30+ FPS with Autogen

321MB download from AVSIM for Europe package appears a little too rich for their server: Network Failure!
Still, quite a good makeover, I remember this model from way back.
The variations from the Icaro pool are always totally bewildering though... HEMS this, DAC that, Norm Hi-skid the other and all permutations between.
Different panels, too.

Nah... that obsolete old sim isn't about to get any decent freeware any more...
But Wait! There's a diehard in the shape of Dino Cattaneo!
He's just released his reworked Goshawk, stunning though it already was in the first incarnation.

Good man...
I am soo tickled... as FSX gets to its use-by date, folk are jumping to P3Dv2, but also:
QUOTE

I use FSX more often than FS9 , but now planning on using the Project Airbus A380 in FS9 as she is beautiful. And in FSX the VC looses fps.

I've been away from FlightSim for a while and just reloaded FS9 this last weekend on my 3 monitor Eyefinity system.

More and more, folk are seeing what a hot computer can deliver on the old FS9.5, and dipping a toe.
It's like having a brand new sim!
In more ways than one, too: there is a huge pool of freeware now (quite a bit of ex-payware) that never made it into the sim for lack of time or whatever.
Every day, FS9 delivers something new.

Hmm...interesting to see that even those noisy eggbeater thingies are coming to realise that three tails are better than one laugh.gif

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Ah yes...take them a while to catch up on the engine front though!
Now here's a thing:
I have in the hangar something labelled EC145

but this one soon morphed into the T2, and only 1 tail + fenestron.
This is Progress.

... and here's the BK117!

Last one:

This is actually very nice... way better than the earlier model (which had a Wespac repaint.)
Might be tempted to swing a brush at this one.

Just a few problems in fsx. Some missing cockpit guages, rotor shadow texture and some issues with the .cfg (ascending/descending, in flight speed, shut down issues)

Good to see you got it installed , the cgf. problem would be the same in FS9 , always a sensitive area with any model but these can be adjusted, the textures and gauges are always the main problem moving across from 9 to X , maybe in the near future that would be addressed .

It sure looks better than any previous 117 just requires a good Kiwi paint on it and you'd be racing , Hey , i noticed this morning another really who the heck would touch model for FS95/98 tongue.gif so you might have people working on it as you type winkyy.gif
