Another great paint and Another great plane from Manfred Jahn and team , i want return and check his R4D-5Ls/LC-47Hs ... but this is very similar to the LC-117Ds used on the ice - superb paint scheme on those .

Pax windows do get a little awkward ... designed for short people of the 1930s 40s .. i had to slump down to get a continuous outside viewing - always the front seat i was pleased

, the Antarctic US Navy colours were similar but due to the lengthened nose for the radar it was painted black gave it some real contrast , course remove the main gear fairing for your snow shoe's and you then have a LC-117D
