Heres some pics of Tacpac in action this mission here was vs a SAM site.

The Superhornet now has alot more detail and the A/G radar works really well, still trying to get the FLIR to work though might have to read more of the manual.

After changing IFF codes I then tried to fly over a SAM site from the other team.

Yes SAMs are deadly.

Um because the F105 ain't been weaponised by Tacpac yet since its still in Beta and there is no SDK for it yet. IMO the ultimate SEAD aircraft is the F/A-18E it can carry 6 HARMs and the way its modelled in Tacpac all the submodes are modelled including PB Pre Briefed, TOO Target Of Opportunity etc. For those shots I was testing the damage model as the normal VRS SH was quite indestructible before Tacpac.

As old as the F-18 is the concept and strikes on sites were done by eyes to the ground .. the real fun would be in the earlier , the ones who created todays tactics for SAM killing but i guess Joe public like all the safety and button pushing ease rather a labour intensive cockpit .

I actually do alot of SEAD in the A-10C in DCS World mainly against Shilka and Tungaskas thats alot of fun trying to destroy something while it is shooting at you.

The gun is awesome on the hog especially for tanks where it will take out a T80U but you have to attack from the rear of the tank to get the kill as armour is at its weakest at the rear of the tank.

Using the Tacpac object placement tool I place a SAM site for me to blow up.

Virtual speed brake in action

Using mode 4 IFF the SAM site interrogates my aircraft and confirms we are on the same side. I now fly away from the SAM site and change my mode 4 IFF code from 1000 to code 2000 so now I am on a different side to the SAM and it will now engage me.

Time to engage the SAM, decoys trailing me and chaff/flares set for auto with jammer engaged.

Lol yeah after that I attacked ships using the FLIR and laser guided mavericks but that was just to get the FLIR to work in the sim and get it to slew and ground stabilise. There is no intention of recreating history its just that Hawai is nice place to fly around in. BTW I actually took off from that runway initially. biggrin.gif

Time to do carrierops so using Tacpac object placement I placed a carrier(one of Javiers carriers) to do some landings with vLSO running in the back ground.

And time to launch again.

Having used up alot of fuel I decided that its time to refuel so using the object placing tool I placed a Tanker nearby and using TACAN flew up to it for some fuel.

Refuelling from the tanker is not impossible as its done by proximity although you can adjust the setting to as small as you like for me using an X45 I am quite limited so a wide area is necessary. You can have any type of Tanker that is selectable in the menu for the Tacpac including the KC135 and no doubt many other addons so long as the addon is installed.

Don't worry I have made some cool skins for my SH which are not grey.

I made these skins and now I have to install the bloody things since I installed Tacpac. pirate.gif

JDAMs are quite trickey to use as you have to wait until they allign their GPS before you can drop them so they can take a few minutes before you can use them.(there is also alot of information about them in order to learn how to use them) What happened there was I placed a SAM site and I was not the right IFF code so it shot me down. pirate.gif
