Trains ....again

The more i drive these things , the more impressed i am........the stats are getting up there with aircraft (except for speed )

This is the GE -ES44AC....188 ton, 21.73 Mtrs long, 4,400Hp!!....fuel capacity 22,730 litres, top speed ........120kph .....when you push that power lever all the way up, this thing just pulls.
Screens are of a double.....8,800hp....out in the badlands near Barstow Arizona.

Dont worry, i haven't gone to the otherside....its just that trains are a little more easy for me at the moment....i mean, you dont even have to steer them winkyy.gif .......but as i said before, this is a bloody amazing sim......everything....detail, autogen, lighting, sound......love it.

All I can say is "Where are the clouds?" [violins] ... "... there ought to be clouds" [more syrupy violins] ...

Great screens though! thumbup1.gif

So i guess there are no New Zealand train rides , pity it could not work within FS as an extension , but seems like pre Phillip Middlemiss 1998 New Zealand Flight Sim days were the NZ was near now non existent /useable .

I do like a "syrupy violin" or two. The weather in this sim seems to be random, that particular run is out in the desert and always seems to clear....but the european and english scenarios have quite good looking clouds.

Anyway, Im back on the meds now.... and with luck this weird "air sickness" will go.......very odd to get vertigo while flying on a pc unsure.gif

Aah but there are for Trainz, Murchison is a big bugger ! Complete with helicopters, ferries, ships, even a few road vehicles running around in there. It's amazing what you can achieve when you lose the preconceptions about 'train' meaning something that looks like a train, and about 'rails' having to be steel and visible and unable to float on water or in the air :-)

I thought about getting a train sim a while back after getting one for my nephew. Never got around to it for myself.

But those screenies look real nice. Might have to have a look around at whats available.

Cheers for sharing.
