NZ Jetstreams!

Discuss aircraft addons and repaints for Flight Simulator here

Postby SeanTK » Wed Aug 18, 2010 4:08 am

Just a heads up that I have been in contact with a Mr. Jim Hodkinson, who has created multiple real and fictional liveries for PMDG's Jetstream turboprop.

At my request, he reuploaded an Air Nelson/Air New Zealand livery (fictional) for download.
Also, I recently suggested three other liveries that were seen on J31s, and he is in the process of putting them on the J41.

So far, we have the Air New Zealand livery, and an Ansett New Zealand Regional livery.

Head's up, these are around the corner! Possibly within a day.

I'm having him fix a niggle with the tail logo on the first one, and change the tail coloration (to actual black, not charcoal grey) on the second one. Once those changes are completed, I'll post the download links that he'll send me!

A big thanks to Jim Hodkinson for doing these! The FS community now has a total of FIVE New Zealand liveries for the PMDG Jetstream 41:

Origin Pacific -- PMDG addon livery (on their website)
Air Nelson/Air New Zealand - Jim H.
Ansett New Zealand Regional - Jim H.
Air National - Jim H.
Tasman Pacific Connection/Air National hybrid - Jim H.

Sean , need to adjust a few things with ANZ paint .. the font on the fuse need to be compressed less skewed and colour darker more to suit the rego , the tail , very dark blue with the emerald/torquios blend and a KORU reduced to fit above the tailplane , only a small ask smile.gif

Jims first , National , that really looks the part cool.gif

Cheers guys looking damn great thumbup1.gif

Ian, if you want to contact him and ask about possible changes to the ARNZ livery, his email is in the readme files for each paint. He's already gone above and beyond what I expected from when I have emailed him, but I don't want to bug him too much with changes after changes.

Only time I been in a JS was Origin into DUD. Was also the only time I have flown and was positive I was not going to live... Scary. I'm sticking to turbines from now on... lol

A revised Air New Zealand repaint and a surprise RNZAF livery from Jim Hodkinson! (I didn't even request it!)
He told me that he looked at this thread to find out what changes to make for the Air New Zealand livery. The only thing is, he didn't know what a Koru was, so he left it the same.

How could you even begin to counter a description like that! awesome Adrian.
