I recently bought the Level-D 767, which is excellent. My vote, 10/10.

Flight 1 ATR with FS2Crew.

Bought the atr on the day of release, helped them fix an FMS bug and all has been sweeeeet thumbup1.gif

FS2Crew just adds another dimension to flying. What a marvellous revelation to know that you don't actually fly the plane all by your self!

Don't know about a freeware Foxmoth but I might give that Moth Minor (needs a NZ repaint!) a go - thanks for HU.

My Favourite Freeware Chopper is the Nemeth MD500 (http://www.hovercontrol.com/listman/listings/l0004.html)......it just 'works': Flies well, looks good, sounds good. It is for FS9 but there is a tweaked version for FSX (although I just made up my own)

If you tweak the 500, do all textures need to be DDS?

TahitiX is very good. Having the Aerosoft twin Otter makes it better because you can do the short hop from Tahiti Intl to Moorea. Very challenging flight of 7 minutes.

If you get Tahiti X the Twotter would be an automatic choice - there is a review on Tahiti X that was published yesterday on Flighsim.

The ATR is probably the best of that bunch but would be a frame rate hit on FSX ... I would tend to go for the Twotter over the PMDG 1900 (and I would go for the 1900C over the 1900D) - also the Twotter was specifically designed for FSX.

Decision Made.

I really wanted the ATR, but didn't realise this was a FS9 updated.

Thanks naki.

for me my favs are, the digital aviation fokker 70/100, beut a/c to fly, no vc though, a small downside, but the 2d cockpit more than makes up for it. the level d767 and captian sim 757 (just got it on dvd for $80usd including the -200 -300 and freighter) i love my GA Bellanca viking form lionheart. and the wilco e-jets has turned in to my fav small airliner, with all the patches of course

In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.
