Yeah...it's all a bit confusing, really.
I own the FS9 base pack, which has several small bugs.
I was watching for the promised service pack, and was pleased when they emailed me with news of the 2.1 update.
The more I tried to download 2.1, the more I got told to buy the Pro Pack.
I didn't want to buy the Pro Pack!
I just wanted the patch!
Really, all I wanted was to be able to switch from "Nav" to "GPS" and back, which seems impossible!
3 "Support Tickets" later, I sent an email straight back to the junk mailer announcing (for the 3rd time) Pack 2.1.
Surprise! There's a human on the other end - yes you do need some or other Block something upgrade (What? wings that work??) to qualify for the patch, THEN you can get the Pro thing which appears to work.
Sorry for the rant, but sometimes the payware support systems do frustrate me...
I do enjoy my Capsim 757 immensely.

The thing is there is just no update for Base pack you own. They no longer update Base packs. Not sure why you do not want to buy Block F to upgrade to Pro and get all bells and whistles of advanced systems programming. Is is quite worth the money.

I bought the base pack, and am on their mailing list for updates - I'd expect them to patch bugs in any payware product, however humble.
As to upgrading to Block this or that, I've no idea what they left out of the base pack and why I'd want to pay for it.
With very few exceptions, I fly FS models by pressing <CTRL> E and seeing what she'll do. laugh.gif

One of those exceptions is the Aeroworx KingAir, and it is a doozie, you don't even get to see the MS GPS unit!
And I'll learn the SectionF8 Sabre too, because I know the systems are faithfully modelled and will reward you - if you use correct cockpit procedures.

There really isn't time to become current on all the stuff available, however.
But maybe the Capsim 757 is worth spending the time on, too...what's your experience?
