Bit of a pity it's FS X only sad.gif.
I said this in the other thread and asked if there were any other CT4s? Anyone know?

That's a pity sad.gif
I guess because it's a bit of an obscure aircraft and doesn't get much use.
Shame because I'd quite like to do some Red Checkers simulation, but I don't have FS X or a computer that would run it.

Actually, I had a flyable CT4 for FS2004 before I got a clue and bought FSX tongue.gif

I found it on some Aussie sim website somewhere....I'll see if I can find it again.

Awesome little aircraft for hooning around in, but are we allowed to repaint it? When you install it says 'NO MODIFICATIONS' - does this include painting, or just the model? Anybody know?

I'd love to do a more detailed paint for it - get it in the correct yellow and fix up the markings. Unless it's my screens, it looks an odd slightly lemony yellow, rather than the real trainer yellow that they are. A retro grey/orange paint would be fun too.

Also, does anyone know how to get rid of the ridiculous FSX shine? It's a real problem in FSX - everything is polished to a mirror finish and creates weird reflections all the time. It affects the CT4 really badly.

...now if only we could get a CT4 like this into a proper flightsim... like FS9...

Sorry - not had much time to look yet I'm afraid. I know for a fact that I do still have the download at home, so if all else fails, I can maybe email it to anyone who wants it!! Of course, thats not necessarily going to be a good solution for anyone with dial up....

Ok, so perhaps the best way to handle this is for anyone who would like a copy of the FS2004 (actually looks like it was intended for FS2002 but it worked fine in '04 for me) to send me a message with their email address so I know who/where to send it to...will keep this thread from getting too full of requests for the file too... smile.gif

I did find where I got it from - it's the Aussim one that was mentioned earlier....and for whatever reason, that file is still listed but the d/l doesn't work...

Cheers
Mark
