Twitchy Elevators

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Postby ardypilot » Sun May 06, 2007 11:15 pm

My aircraft in fs2004 all appear to be too twitchy on the elevator controls, and continually bounce up on down, especially on take off and landing, which is really annoying.

I thought purchasing a new joystick would sort this out, so I got myself a Saitek Cyborg, but still am having the same problems. I increased the elevator axis' sensitivity in the control options, up to 60% where it was still noticeable. At 75% it was not as noticeable, but I could get hardly any lift in the default C182 when pulling back fully on the stick.

Any idea on how I can solve this?

did you change the sensitivity or the 'dead zone'???

The deadzone defines how much you need to move the stick from centre before it actually registers as having moved.

Sensitivity defines the scale of movement. ie. 1cm on the stick in real world = 10cm in the game world.

Also, make sure you dont have any other controller's plugged in which may be causing interference.

Duh! Stupid me!

It was the null zone bar that I had been playing around with, not the sensitivity one. I made a bit late night mistake there, but have it all sorted now thanks to you Jarred
