We really nead another Alpha Version , as todays Harvard looses the frontal (mast)aerial , 1015 did fly with it deleted maybe late 70's early 80s .

There is a revised model without the antenna mast available. Email or IM "Alphasim-Phil" over in the Alphasim forum.
He's releasing it on a per request basis rather than have folks download the 50MB files again.

----------------

I've also updated my textures so the kiwi bird flys right. You can download it at avsim, flightsim, or simviation.
Thanks Charl for pointing that out. B)

I just got the Alphasim Harvard today, and see there are two paintjobs available on avsim... t6_nz2_4.zip and t6_rnzaf.zip

Is one meant to replace the other or something, if not, which is the best?

Cheers.

C'mon Trolly, you have broadband, D/L 'em and see! :D
The second file you list is Frank Safranek's (He is an Alphasim painter)
He got the wing Kiwi wrong first time, as pointed out by Steve Jenks.
This upload corrects this.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, yours truly had received Frank's original DayGlo textures and added 2 more numbers to the base.
The third orange paint was a quick mod on a stock paint.
SO:
Frank's is good, my 3 range from iffy to downright WRONG, because I'm too lazy to fix the wing Kiwi :P
(Edit: actually, I have the right texture but I'm too lazy to upload it, so sorry to have to make this confession. I can email it if it really makes a difference in anyone's life B) )
Edit 2: And of course "Wingman" Warren is sitting on an almost-done N0. 15 <_<
Edit 3: Otherwise, here they are!

Awesome- thanks for the replys Ian and Charl.

I've downloaded both varirents but am getting a little confused installing the repaints. The Alphasim models put two folders in your main FS9/Aircraft directory, one called 'ALPHA T-6 Texan' and one called 'ALPHA T-6 Harvard'

But, I have noticed in real life, and in Charl's sig/banner entry, that the aircraft do not have antenna sticking up from the nose, with a line going to the tail area. Is this a fault with the model= line in the cfg as I have followed the readme instructions..

Cheers again fellas. In the meantime, I found out I could loose the front antenna by just ammending this line 'model=Harvard2' in the NZ paint's part of the .cfg

*drools*

Is it too much to ask to have 98's black checks in red? Or is it something I should do myself?

Those shots......ohhhh............I think I've fallen in love with the Harvard AGAIN!

That's right...

Just needs model.Harvard2 is all.
And don't forget to change both lines in the aircraft.cfg to read
fuel_metering_type=1
so your Harvard splutters when downside up.
