Oops that was a little unfair of me.
I've added the low-shine version on top of the original post, and it still looks too SILVER to me.

Captain_Hamish wrote: charl that c130 there that i have repainted is my very first repaint i did as you can see it is nothing like what my repaints are like now i was thinking about repainting a c130 and useing a different model c130 cause mike stones one is very basic and simsheds one does not work in fsx but i was going to use photos to do the repaint
and yeah the grey is very hard to get on the herc cause it is a very dark grey much darker when you compare it sitting next to the c17's grey sitting next to each other at nzch but when the c130 is flying along and it is in the sun light its grey is close to the grey on the orions if someone could help me find a good fs freeware model of a c130 i would love to give it another go

Yeah you have a green tint in the wing uppers...
but I reckon the fuselage is spot on.
This is what I see, be interested to hear from others.

and you can see with my repaint of the herc there isn't much detail to it but alot of people seem to like ti for ai aircraft but the reason why there ain't much detail is because it was my first repaint so i was just learning and the prgramme i used to repaint that was ms default paint

yeah i know aboout the wings for some reason with the texture pallets it would'nt let me use the same grey it just like with mike stones catalina when trying to repaint that with ms default paint when you use a blue or something it shows up as grey and then if you use a darker colours it shows up as dark grey or black

Only freeware Hercs are Mike stone's and Simshed's.

Any Herky missing?

Just stumbled across this older thread.
David "Dax" Sweetman already did awesome repaints on the 40 Squadron birds.
So we do have the 1980's high-viz scheme and the camo scheme (and I think the current dull & boring low-viz as well...).

Is there any RNZAF scheme left to be depicted?

Open for your suggestions, gentlemen!

Cheers,
Markus.

Markus , Have them all covered and they work fine in FSX , I prefer the old pin stripe ... smile.gif and yeah what is it with this "dull & boring low-viz" , like a bunch off girls trying to get in with the in-crowd or no imagination , low-viz ... i regularly see RNZAF Herc s heading back north - dark as hell stick out like dogs balls and now the Ice season is on us we have the USAF LC-130s heading South to the polar region .. they have a day glow for spotting in case off crash yet they are harder to spot ! don,t Figure ! rolleyes.gif

Now for further paints , there is a whole series off VXE-6 US Navy types that were based in CHCH during the 60s to 90s -99s winkyy.gif
