Red Bull Race Series

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Anyone see the footage on TV3 over the weekend from Budapest? Frank Versteegh's site ( link here) has plenty of videos and info on the Red Bull series (including an Extra formation flying with an A320!) unfortunately Frank didn't do too well this weekend..

There are a few repaints on AV Sim, and the Budapest 2006 scenery is available as Redbullairrace2006.zip

I think I'll do a video of a few different repaints hooning around the course, here I am, cleverly disguised as Patty Wagstaff, testing the scenery out... :)

Missed the TV sadly, however the videos are great, thanks for the pointer.
Loved the MiG 29's.
This kind of flying used to be reserved for flightsims...
And
To fuel the fire in the rotorwing/stuck in the mud debate: take a look at that video called Special Takeoff :o

Iused to watch the air races before on tv3- last one I saw was Dubai so that was quite a long time ago.

You can find the Rotterdam course as scenery download here: http://www.simviation.com/fs2004scenery57.htm

And I absolutely love the extra 300- and there is an even-better-than-default freeware 300l version here if you are interested: http://www.flightfactory-simulations.com/extra300L.php (In the Redbull racing colours)
