One of my favourite aircraft!

Brilliant lighting in that shot btw, it really has a sense of atmosphere.

From where did you get that repaint too? I'd like to download it if possible. I am currently repainting ZK-CIF, the ex Era Aviation Air Chathams CV-580 :)

Very nice shot, I'd like to know where you got that repaint from too. I've got an Air Chathams CV-580 for air traffic, but no Air Freight repaint...

Glad you like it :) , unfortunatly the image lost a bit of detail in the contrast and when i sized it down :(

I use to watch them flying in to Palmerston North, and later found out I knew a guy who worked for Air-Freight so I have always had a bit of a connection, but mostly I just think they just look cool.

K5054NZ - I took 5-6 screenie intending to pick one for the Comp this is in fact Early morning winter storm but I didn't think it really gave the "winter" feel requested in the rules so I entered a different one.

As for the paint job its my second attempt its a bit old and not brilliant, I lost my first one when I moved , and feeling a bit home sick thought I'd do a new one.

It was only after I moved that I found out about the 550's of Air Chathams , I found some pics awhile ago and It's slowly moving up my list of jobs to do as well.

I'm happy to share it if people out there think it worth it, I'm currently looking over the alpha channel, as I had no idea about them when I did this paint job, also I discovered the model has a VC so I've moved the view point and I'm trying to put togetter a "Cleaner" VC.

Hi PV,

I too am a big fan of the Convair 580 aircraft- I just think that their structure looks very majestic and are a good small-big airliner to fly.

What model are you using to paint? I have only ever found Greg Pepper's one which I think was originally for fs2004 and does not include reflective textures <_<

How would you like to help me compile a 'Kiwi Convair Package' where we can collaborate as many CV repaints as possible (Field Air, Air Freight, Air Chathams variations) into one download for NZFF simmers?

I am currently doing the Chathams ZK-CIF, using photos I took, in the ex Era colours, so once that is done we will at least have two... let me know what ya think aye ;)

That is a nice shot! I didn't realise there was a repaint out there for this.
