This month, Alphasim are sponsoring our screenshot competition. This means that the person who wins with the best screenshot this month will receive a copy of the 'AH-64A Apache (for FSX and FS2004)' product, which can be viewed at their website: www.alphasim.co.uk ... Now that's an incentive for you all to enter!

If you did not know already, Alphasim is actually a kiwi company, despite their websites British URL and you can purchase their products by using bank transfers to their BNZ account!

Here is our 14th monthly Screenshot Competition, which is free to enter for all the members of NZFF*

This month's rules are as follows:

1) The screenshot must be from a Flight Simulator program (FS2004, FSX, X-Plane, etc), and the position of the shot must be somewhere over New Zealand territory.

2) The image size must be as close as possible to 984 pixels wide- read the uploading screenshot guide to find out how to re-size your shot. Please keep a high res version saved on your computer as the admin may request it from you at the end of the month to convert it into a site banner!

3) Images can be submitted from June 1st to June 30th 2007, with only one entry per member. You can change your submission if you want, just delete the old one and replace it with a new one (by pressing the edit button, to the top right of your post. Please don't make new posts saying you have edited your original post as this makes the thread cluttered).

4) On June 30th, a poll will open and run for a few days to decide who has the best image, then the winner will have a cropped version of their image appear in the NZFF banner as well as receiving the Alphasim prize!

5) Editing is allowed, if you know how to do it. The more stunning your shots look the better!

6) This month's theme is 'Default Aircraft' meaning your screenshot must include a default (not installed addon) aircraft that came stock with your sim program. Generally, they are not that good in quality, so you're job is to make it look good! Addon repaints are permitted.

7) Keep any comments relevant and on-topic, about the screenshots only. If you'd like to ask an off-topic question, please send a PM (personal message) the screenshot artist. This is to keep this thread uncluttered, failure to do this will see your post deleted without warning.

* As we are offering payware prizes, each member who enters must have at least a 2 month membership (signed up before the end of March) at NZFF before they can enter.

Yep Brock- the rules above state 'Addon repaints are permitted'

Can it be over non default scenery

Most certainly, yet it must be in New Zealand.

FSX gives good lighting for screenshots: light bloom + shadow on aircraft
Edit: Erm, Robin's scenery doesn't exactly hurt the picture.

o the awsome 4 some cant be used? as a screenshot or can it because its just a modified version

No they can not be used. If you read the rules above, it states "your screenshot must include a default (not installed addon) aircraft that came stock with your sim program."

The challange here is trying to make the rather low quality default aircraft look as good as possible in a screenshot. The Awesome Foursome have been modified to look good and that takes away the challange.
