MSFS 2020. A Genuine Flight* with a Small Aeroplane in NZ

By chance found notifications on the Inibuild website that there were Updates.
I always mean to make a list of stuff I have and who made it.
Too much other Stuff so it never happens.

They inform that Dunedin has cows that now do not shine as much, and Palmerston North also is mended.

So a look around NZDN

Then, a flythrough, out and in

Then a thought: why not do a flight to the northern one?
Surely the Carenado 182 could get there?

Mercifully the weather improved as we got out to sea, it certainly bumped and humped on the way

After what seemed like a very loong time of real time flying, Christchurch hove to on the horizon, being en route it turns out..
Pretending that fuel was an issue, I made a rather steep descent, lined up, and made it in

Two noteworthy items:
1. the windsock is a tiny little download at fs.2 and is the best I have seen in a flightsim
2. There's a guy at the NZCH GA clubhouse with a serious drinking issue.
He downed can after can, as long as it took to refuel the Cessna.

Never did get to Palmy, but this was as much as I (and I suspect, you) needed in one dose.
Great fun though.
* Genuine in that it wasn't just a photopose, I actually figured out the whole lean mixture/prop thing, and got the Autopilot to hold alt and a NAV course, and flew it!

Well done on the flight. It's good to have a purpose.
Fear not that boozer was a flight instructor monitoring his students first solo. :D

Charl, great post...always enjoy your presentation , and good choice of aircraft. A nice 182 has always been a major lotto win dream....
I'm definitely a poser most of the time. But now that I'm getting some nice NZ airports onboard the sim, I might do a cross country over the weekend.
