The model is finished with just a few tweaks and tests to go. I hope to release it later this week. A paint kit with in PSP format with layers for easy painting will be released as well.

A few more screenies of the Fletcher all taken in FSX .................

The model contains more detail and polygons for the VC than the external model. To my knowledge it is one of the first NZ aircraft to be made for FSX. It should also be fully compatible with FS9. Features-

- Full animation including rolling wheels, oleos, hopper outlet, hopper lid where fitted.
- Fully working VC - some custom gauges and all switches and levers mouse clickable.
- Topdressing effect.

There won't be - a 2D panel or GPS

All you budding ag pilots are going have a great time with this one. To quote Toprob who has had the honour of flying already "it's amazing how much peverse pleasure you can get from top dressing built-up areas..."

At this stage I have gone for the default FSX Beaver sound. It is the closest I have heard to the Fletchers 8 thumping cylinders. The prop noise sounds right too.
Unless somebody knows of a better sound pack ??

All the sound files will be included (for those non FSX users).

She looks stunning Deane.

What scenery were the first shots taken at? They don't look like default FSX to me.

Shots were taken over Robins Taranaki scenery. The hangars are Hawera, from a scenery project I started last year and hope to finish. Just waiting to understand more about FSX

Its been a while since Ive seen the ole 950 in action, most of the ones you see working now are turbine powered. Not the same really. Any plans to do any earlier models or turbine powered machines?

The next model will be the Walter turbine conversion, as this should not be too much additional work to the current model. After that the Cresco, which will require a lot more work.

As for older Fletchers, I'm not sure as I am really focusing on current aircraft. Having said that, I might pay homage to ZK-BDS, the prototype built in the States in 1954, with an open cockpit and 225 hp engine.
BDS was still flying (with a walter turbine) until 2003 when it was damaged badly in a crash.
