After having a quick practise of my routine for 'Forum Field 2007', I decided to take the a340 out for a spin. Many people claim they dislike 'airbus'.....saying many things regarding the "pencil shape"..........."engines too small"........."they just look ugly" etc...... I'm a Boeing man........but the a340 looks slick to me.

I know that many of these 'dislikes' for airbus come from the pilots not being good enough to operate them :D . No one will ever care to admit this. Its a mute point for me as I'm not good enough to operate any jet :D . Here's a few pics. I know Brennan will love these.........maybe others might admit, it don't like that bad :) .

That aeroplane has a great deal of presence.
It says: I am here, I am very, very, long :D
(the -500 is just a touch shorter, and less pencil-like - matter of taste I suppose, great aircraft nonetheless)
I think you're right about flying 'em in FS, the darn HSI looks like a Christmas cake.
That shot 3FB, did you do a little Shop work on it, the sunset colours are, erm, Thai :o

Cool shots, is that the CLS model, The problem that most real pilots have with air boosse ( how the french say it :P ) is that if they wanted to be an IT expert they would have been one they wanted to be pilots so they want to be pilots ( if you get what I mean)

I have done allot of miles on the A340's (200 / 300 and 500 ) and on 777 and 747 and the main probelm I have is that the busses are so skiny on the inside.

Nik, I still feel the good in you, let go of your anger and return to us from the dark side....

Having said that, very nice screenshots, that wing flex looks impressive as does the AI traffic :)

not bad, 600 is certainly the best looking, just like a less used pencil really

the darn HSI looks like a Christmas cake.

haha yes they do, well in airbus terms thats a "ND", also includeding the "PFD" and "ECAMS", unlike good simple boeing who just put a "E" infront of it, like "EHSI", much better :P

Great shots Nik, I like VC one
