Voting for the May 2018 Screenshot Competition is now open!
All registered NZFF members may vote - not just the entrants
.

The May theme is: "Water Wings"
Naval Aviation or Air Force operations over water.

Image
This month's competition is once again kindly sponsored by A2A.
The winner will receive a download of their choice from the excellent range of A2A Simulations.

NOTE: We have TWO categories for voting:

  1. Visual Appeal: the winner gets their image displayed as a banner for the following month.
Please vote for the image you find the most appealing.
  2. Relevance to the Theme: the winner gets the sponsored prize and sets the theme for the next screencomp.
Please vote for the image you think best fits the theme.
The two votes can go to the same entry or to different ones, but please place a vote in BOTH categories.
Voting will close at midnight on Tuesday 5th June (Pacific/Auckland: UTC+12).

How to vote: just place a reply in this topic (below) - along the lines of:
Visuals vote to Number: Name
Relevance (theme) vote to Number: Name.
If you wish, add why you voted the way they you did. Please don't vote for your own entry (!!).

I usually keep my votes until the last minute in case there's a tie-breaker situation, but I can see things are not going to go that way this month! :D

Visuals vote to 03:Ikbenik
Relevance (theme) vote to 03:Ikbenik

It's such a stunning shot, IMHO - and works well for both categories.

As all can see its a full gone conclusion who the winner of both categories is for this month.
So as my vote is irrelevant I wont bother to put it down.
That was the reason why we had votes invisible in the old voting setup so no one knew who was getting all the votes until voting had closed.
Congrats to Marty on winning both categories.

I disagree, Doug! ^_^ The fat lady hasn't sung yet and anyway, I think the also-rans should get *some* satisfaction that their efforts weren't totally in vain!

I find it quite embarrassing  that my entry looks likely to get the famous Eurovision "NUL POINTS!!!" and it could ease my pain somewhat    . Bribery may be an option!

So ... I say ... there's still a good few hours to go: GET THOSE VOTES IN!!! B-)

Adam.

Well. as a long term collector of 'nul points' - although I have occasionally got one vote, and once I even got three - I have to say that I enjoy the smug complacency that comes from knowing I fly my screenshots, rather than constructing them :nahnah:

In that case, you'll be pleased to know that I ploughed my Wyvern into the flight deck on my return from the "photoshoot"!

Adam.
