Having discovered Imgur, I also have discovered an itchy trigger finger:

This is a timely set, with the current sim discussions going on -- Aerofly simply works, visually, that's for sure. Even at this stage it stands against the other in a lot of respects, including the current comp theme.
You've changed the third shot? The old one I captioned 'let's dance!', it was a definite winner for me.

You shots illustrate what Aerofly does well compared to the others, the ground seems a lot more real and solid, seeing it come at you is a real experience, compared to Prepar3d and X-plane, where it's more 'what is that blurry thing?... dammit, it's the ground!'

Yes they are stunning shots. As much as I like the look of Aerofly it's limited coverage area is holding me back from getting involved in it.
I want to see how the performance stacks up with global coverage (or even near global coverage)....if that is even possible. Only then can a true comparison be made.

Stunning shots indeed! When I first saw that Corsair appear in the comp, I thought "How on earth did you get FSX/P3D to look like that!?". There's something about the lighting in all the Aerofly shots I've seen that makes them stand out. I can't put my finger on it, but they're way better. I'd love to have those sorts of visuals in P3D.

Anyway - please post more - they're an absolute treat!!!

Adam.

CP there is no way that AFS2 competes with the heavyweight sims in terms of features and complexity.
But what is presently there, is solid.
It's great to jump in there for a bit of a fly - and of course VR capability transforms the entire experience.

I am reminded of a guy I knew years ago who spent his weekends throwing a Pitts around at airshows.
His day job? Captain of a B747.
Time permitting, you can do both, and that's how I see AFS2 vs the rest.

Thanks Adam, my first thought was: the rules exclude Aerofly!
So I just had those 4 and rotated them through the screencomp, and this, thread.
Maybe when the bell rings the F-4 will be back B-)

I've now changed the rule to: "must consist of a screen captured from any flight simulator program (FS2004, FSX, P3D, X-plane, Aerofly, DCS/IL-2, War Thunder etc.).".

I was wondering about allowing non-flightsim programs (as some some land/naval sims still feature quite decent aircraft) but I thought this forum is primarily about *flight* sims.
