Well, at least I know Trolly will enjoy them! I've rejoined Virtual Air New Zealand after a long absence flying mostly overseas. I'm starting to remember the reasons I did over 500 hours of domestic NZ flying...

These shots of Woodbourne are thanks to Snowman, for the scenery he sent me..

For starters, parked at the gate, and waiting for passengers to board.

Next, backtracking to the end of runway 7 for departure

Just under halfway through the climbout to 19,000ft today

And then.. the views stopped.. we didn't even get to see Ruapehu or Egmont.

Approaching the mouth of the Waikato River.

Nice sunset views for the passengers tonight. Our flight is scheduled to arrive in Auckland at 6.10pm. I am expecting to be 3 or 4 minutes early, depending on traffic! (it is Auckland after all) ;)

Over South Auckland. Visual approach to land.

And final to land, runway 23L!

Welcome to Auckland folks!

Great stuff Alister, do you have a library of lens flare effects you overlay the photos or something, every one is different, and adds that little bit extra to the shot. :D

Beautiful shots, you really captured the whole atmosphere of your flight there Alister. And you were right- I loved em

Nice to see some people are still using fs2004 too- that's not the PMDG model is it?

Brilliant!

What weather systems are you useing? Getting a cloud layer that you can't actuly see the ground is true ifr, in all flights I do at FL300+ theres garunteed visual with the ground..

Maybe it's just the contrast, but the colours of the body and tail look different to the one in my sig... all will be revealed soon I'm sure!

Yip, that's the PMDG, I've had her since a few days after she was released. It's still a darling to fly.
The cloud layer is thanks to a supercharged PC running 2004 with all the sliders maxed :D (created by Activesky)
Thanks guys!

Gads the fellow is a genius - he made a 1900D look absolutely beautiful!
Alastair perhaps you should work your screenshots through the list of ugliest aircraft and see if there's one that stumps you

haha thanks Charl! I've been reading that post, but can't for the life of me come up with anything to add. I either just don't think about aircraft I find unattractive, or the few I do know of people have mentioned. I'm with Trolly on the B1900, it's a love / hate relationship, and I only picked the nice angles :D
