This month's compy theme is rotation - this one was taken during a "Head-hard-against-the-canopy" spin. It was so fast and relatively flat, that the plane was spinning beautifully around the vertical axis - and the smoke was merely a vertical line, near enough, with the plane spinning around it.

Discard, because a still does not do this justice. Still - enjoy...
