I trust there is the odd Brit passport holder in this crowd... ;) The quote is from another forum - I didn't spot this by myself, but I feel you might like to know

Apparently the British Government is debating on whether or not to discontinue the RAF Red Arrows Display Team.

All of us who have seen them perform at airshows will agree that this would be a tremendous loss to the aviation loving world.

British Citizens can DO something about it, by SIGNING a PETITION on a Government Webpage that you can find here

More information about the team and their displays can be found on the Red Arrows website.

You have until July 24th to make your voice count !!!

And on that note, I have had another play with the recorder module again...

Just getting nine oplanes anywwhere near straight and level is a pain!

This took (ahem, blush) 9 lots of six minutes to record plus about half an hour of repeat flights to take photos.

Well perhaps we could threaten to sever trade and diplomatic relations with the Muther Country if they can the Arrows - oh hang on that already happened in the '80s :(
mmm I'm sure there is a Skyhawk joke in here somewhere but it eludes me for the moment.

Now: back to important matters.
The RA don't just fly in a straight line y'know...

 Love that 4th shot down, and love the Red Arrows too- I saw them performing loads growing up in Southern England, and also got to sit in a cockpit of one of the actual Hawk's at Shoreham Airshow back in 2002! I hope they don't get disbanded :(

I also had the great pleasure of seeing the Red Arrows perform once, and it was a mindblowing statement of precision and flair.
They don't come better.

Red Checkers
The Red Checkers team is comprised of five pilots; all qualified flying instructors at the Flight Training Wing based at RNZAF Base Ohakea.
The team flies the distinctive yellow and black CT-4 Airtrainer, which is also used to train student pilots.

Steve Jenks has painted Mike Cronin's model for AI, which will be packaged in a special release some time soon.

There is an easier way to do formation flying with the Red Arrows by the way- Redpack 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 from http://www.simviation.com/fs2002military20.htm plus the fs2004 update on avsim under the name 'reds_fs9.zip' :)

I thought you had done the recorder module trick there Charl, as I seem to remember that the redpack arrows all has the same attitude as each other, and when you rolled the front aircraft, the ones behind you in formation maintened the same flat level as you...?

Noo...that's the beauty of that pack - you can change formation as well as make 'em do stuff.
Brilliant package.
I wonder if they'll repeat the animations in Recorder?
The mind boggles

Ah ok, its been a fair time since I last downloaded the pack, since then I have re-installed. When I have bandwidth to burn I may investigate further. Thanks for the heads up.
