Oho, brownbox is a simmer after all
Matter of interest, how do you run all those texture sets?
They surely overwrite each other ?

i use each programe for each thing. Real environment for water and ac reflcetions, ground environment for suprise suprise, ground textures, and active sky for the real world weather, and flight environment for the cloud textures. It all has a heavy toll on FPS, but i manage to keep them up at 30 anyway so meh

I suspect, but stand to be corrected, that when you load Flight Environment cloud textures, you are also getting water, reflection, and sky textures by default.
These will overwrite into the texture folder.
I suspect, too, that GE and FE overlap in some ways.
I have a stunning set of all-round textures on my present FS9 setup, and absolutely no idea what combination of FE and GE (Pro) it is.
