Well in case some of you were wondering what the HMNZS Bandit was doing off the port side of the Lord Howe runway. After delivering the fuel supplies. Here's what I was up too -

Well the RNZAF doesn't have a battleship. The NZ Navy however does have ships - just. . Admittedly ours are frigates. But Monkey is pretty close to the mark.

Since Auntie Helen and co decided to stuff up our airforce they have now started on our Navy. Rather than buy new helicopters they have entered a fleet lease agreement through a off shoot of Hertz. Though they faced a strong bid from Avis.

The machine in question is on a low hour, 3 year lease.

Really - I just reckoned this ship looked better with something on the deck rather than another that was just bare.

The water etc comes from here Lord Howe package at Avsim. You should also get this flatten .bgl that Microsoft missed.

I use different water textures etc available from Avsim and Hovercontrol normally but for these screenies, I think the above file should be all you need.

That last shot is absolutely classic good one mate "I wouldnt be cutting back on the rum I would be wondering if it was actually rum and cigars I was having that day"
