What started as an attempt to emulate Barrie Clark's magnificent Spitfire painting. Gradual backing and filling ended with this grainy retro black and white attempt.

Dave COOL! cool.gif , almost there , looks Brilliant , you may want to photo Barrie,s print , i have his P-51 KM118 landing , so hard to choose , Spit , Lanc and the Muzzie .

Didn't realize he'd done so many others. The only one I've seen available here, besides his Spitfire, is an RAF biplane fighter of the thirties - believe it's a 'Bulldog'.

Good friend had the Lancaster painting , was very nice , the Spitfire would prob would be better than the 51 , guess it s the mood and time buying it .
My absolute favourite artist , two - Robert Taylor and Micheal Turner .

Was looking at some of Taylor's Hurricanes today - nice. I have several of Keith Ferris's things.

Another well known in publications , course not to mention Frank Wootton , these days gone the brilliant works all to photo .
