Just for a bit of fun, see if you can make your screenshot look like the real thing.
The only rule should be that the photo is your own.

EDIT December 2007: 18 months on, we only have a handful of repsonses, folk are camera-shy it seems.
So as suggested by thousands of earnest would-be contributors, the rules will be relaxed to allow ANY real world photo.
The pair should still be posted one-on-one, so we can see: How Good is Your Simulator?

Here's a pair at NZAA which is not too bad, but I'm sure the real photographers out there can do a lot better!

These are both pretty old screenies & photos (of mine) so please excuse the low quality.

Not too bad at all, I'd say.
Here's another pair I had lying around the hard drive.
TOP: Wanaka 2004, RNZAF Orion
BOTTOM: Wanaka FS2004, RNZAF Orion by Daisuke Yamamoto et al. and what a stunning aircraft it is.

Nice work there guys. I think I have a pic of the WB DC3 somewhere when parked at Tauranga - now to install that DC3 repaint, and somehow get my son into the PC (he was in front of the plane in real life shot) to take the same screenie lol

luckily the photo (not mine, sorry :( ) had no visible cloud, which made this a snap. Also, the aircraft in the photo has had its Olympic rings removed (since it was after the games).
On second thought, I don't like this- it's pointing out all the flaws in my repaints <_<.

Nice one Charl- I had forgotten all about this thread!

I enjoy ongoing threads...pick up some real quality along the way.
Timmo that is impressive alright
Interesting how difficult it is to get the real world perspective exactly duplicated though
I wonder why that is, FS certainly appears to have "standard" perspectives available, and after all you can set them to suit.
Paul is really close but again the control tower can't quite get out of frame.

Excellent photopairs both, but despite myself you have to admit FSX is the purty one.
The FS9 planes don't shade themselves, and that is starting to tell.
(Look at the Dakota wing above)

Messing around with that "Other" screenshot thread this December, I came across this shot taken over Fly Tampa Vienna, with Google tilt view on top:
