Longer than a Lancaster, I read.
Could out-turn a Bf 110! but couldn't make more than 12,000ft or so, result of MOD specs limiting wingspan. Later became a glider tug. :wacko: Poor old thing.

The wingspan was limited by the perceived need for it to fit into RAF hangars. Bit of a pity as it could've been a really good aeroplane.

Just the right height for the 88 Of all the bombers over Germany, the thing was the worst of its time. Natural flak feeding.
