Hey guys,

i bought Vista ultimate edtn around the 12th of jan, installed on my really low spec machine. and yet, so far ive found none of these, so called 'glitches' or 'spiking', ive actually enjoyed it more than XP so decided to stick with it instead of selling it on.

also the built in perf-monitor gave my pc quite a high rating which surprised me ohmy.gif all my scores were verging on getting to 6.0 . to put that into perspective, the min to run aero style it says is 2.0 ohmy.gif .

Lately ive found a few things like that. That everyone says is full of bugs and is really bad on their machines, but ive got a low-med spec that im running it all on and its beautiful. another example is GTAIV, it runs better even than FSX but on everyone elses its lagging them up and causing them to crash (even on PC's with e8400 CPU's 3ghz 6mb Cache, mine is (on this PC) a pentium D 3ghz 2m cache)

its really weird, im not complaining biggrin.gif but really strange

im trying Win7 Beta now, best 2.4gb ive spent in a while tongue.gif

Some topics fall into the 'inflammatory' category -- and operating systems are one of these:) Still, there is a difference between pointing out a perceived flaw if it may affect other simmers, and running down a company or piece of software because of our own issues. This rule is actually to protect the potential offender, as much as the forum. If you were to post saying that a particular software was a buggy, useless piece of rubbish, then you are not really asking for help, you are venting your anger, and the forum can't survive on anger.

Personally, this is something I police closely. The same goes for replacing the 'S' with a '$' is a company's name -- it serves no purpose, except to imply that attempting to make a living is somehow unacceptable. Maybe I should call myself 'God$one':)

I do have one exception to this rule -- if you have created a better operating system, or flight simulator, then you are entitled to say how easy it is to do better, but you will need to have proof of your superiority:)
