If you are a British subject you are eligible to sign a petition to award a campaign medal to the members of RAF Bomber Command in recocgnition of their service in WW2 here: http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/ForgottenRAF/
It was a disgraceful early act of political correctness to deny these men recognition. For those who cannot imagine what it took to carry out such missions I recommend a read of "Bomber" by Len Deighton.

Not being a British subject , i cant sign , but would have without a blink .

I have many historical books here , a collection trying to show and feel what it must have been like , a huge collection of photos from books trying to conceive , the thought, fear, anger and just shear guts and determination .

This search go's to all sides of the regular forces weather its Air force , Army , Navy . we all have our feelings to our side and to the hero,s and to the other side . All this to learn and try to understand how far we get pushed for our wonderful leaders .

The politics , policy,s of people trying to get brown,y points to push an agenda many decades later ! ...... for the people who really put them self with or without the want and to survive and did then to have it wiped after a lifetime ! , the horrors were on both sides ........ now people we vote for wipe there hands off it or are ignorant to the fact that others did or maybe is it just because it was last century for example or want to cuddle another Gov for money .

The book "Bomber" by Len Deighton , I don,t have , but assume it puts the reader into one hells place , i'll search that one out .
