After the recent popular ‘planes you have flown on’ topic and Happy Travelers photos from South Korea, I had the idea to create a post listing countries in the world that us members have visited, and maybe we can share opinions about destinations we have been too- so far, this is mine:

New Zealand (all over)
Australia (Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Byron Bay)
Cook Islands (Rarotonga)
England (all over)
Wales (Brecon Beacons)
Germany (Frankfurt)
Greece (Thessaloniki and Halkidiki)
Greek Islands (Rhodes, Kos and Corfu)
Spain (Barcelona)
Balearic Islands (Majorca)
Canary Islands (Grand Canaria and Fuerteventura)
United States of America (Los Angeles, Anaheim, Long Beach)
Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur)
Indonesia (Bali, and Jakata in transit)
Japan (Osaka)

And this year I plan to add Brunei, United Arab Emirates, and Ireland or Holland to this list :P

Pretty much everywhere in NZ, plus

Australia (Sydney, Darwin, Brisbane, Alice, Toowomba, Sunshine Coast, Cairns)
Fiji (We go once a year- going again in September)
Malaysia (KL)
Italy (Rome, Umbria region, Firenze, Venice, Lake District)
Switzerland (Lauterbrunnen (Interlaken Area), Zurich)
and probably my most interesting one,

Timor Leste (East Timor)

Hope to add the USA (Phoenix, Marana (Both Arizona) and Honolulu) to my list by year's end.

How did I find them all?
Australia: Well everyone knows Australia
Fiji: Same goes for Oz?
Malaysia: Didn't see much, only the airport, a motorway and a hotel, but it seemed very 'high-tech' almost. Hot and incredibly humid. Wouldn't want to do anything strenuous outside.
Italy: Overall my favourite country in the world. Too much to put down here really, but everyone/everything is so full of life. Nice and warm but also fairly dry.
Switzerland: Just like the pictures. Green. . Zurich felt like home. The same sort of feeling as standing on Wellington's waterfront on a still summer evening. Just perfect.
Timor Leste: Just after the war in 2002. Almost a bit like Fiji, very poor, with no road-rules :D . Poverty was everywhere.

For me.

Malaysia was exciting.
First time overseas! Very humid. Exhausted first day but Jetlag soon left and I was nice and energetic. Spent Three week there. Enjoyed the resort islands The Perhentians. (I went to mainly Penang but also K.L. and Johor Bahru, Kota Bahru and Singapore). Can't remember too much but I did also enjoy the Petronas Towers (and KLIA of course!)

Australia. My next getaway.
Flew to Melbourne on xmas day met up with family friends. Had fun. We were there on the coldest Christmas Australia has ever had. Wouldn't you know it. You escape the NZ Coldness to go to warm Aus and it hails on making the main shopping street whiter that New York on xmas. We also went up the coast having a few stops eventually getting to Canberra and then onto Sydney.

Vietnam.
28 Hour xmas! (though not too exciting except, I was on a plane then again yay!) Went from North to South. Going into the very, very, very, very anti American (I wonder why  ), communist looking museums. It was fun crossing the road. (Roads as wide as half of K'road with about twice as much traffic, all of it motorbikes, tooting with the only crossing option being walk out and hope that they are proficient enough to miss you (which they always are))

Hopefully I get to go to Samoa next year (dependent on when the trip will be held as it includes some more distant but close relatives. This is mainly due to Europe and NCEA)

I wonder what Europe will be like...
apparently the French are nice to us (lucky N.Z.)

Norway - From Oslo east

Only a few places I want to visit. Canada - for the aeroplanes, Alaska - for the aeroplanes, Oregon - for the aeroplanes, Vietnam - just really want to have a look at the US installations and go to Vung Tau and Nui Dat where the our gallant soldiers fought. Thanks for your interesting contributions people- we are quite a well travelled bunch aren’t we. I've just updated my first post with the specific areas that I visited in my country to match everyone else's replys.

Yeah, KL was so bloody humid. I remember I couldn't manage walking down the city street for more than 100 meters before ducking into an air conditioned shop for a few minutes rest.. loads of cheap things to buy around town though!

QUOTE
Can't remember too much but I did also enjoy the Petronas Towers (and KLIA of course!)
We went up both the Petronas Towers and the KL Tower- the latter of which was way more impressive because the viewing deck was far higher than the bridge between the Petronas Towers. (Pic from there below)

After coming down from that bridge, we bought a KFC take away and walked the park at the base of the complex to eat it... worst decision ever! The Malyasian version of KFC is 100x spicer than an ordinary meal by NZ standards, and the heat in the shade was just unbearable. Loved our the place we stayed at though- the Swiss Garden Hotel, complete with rooftop swimming pool :) Good times!

At the time of our visit to KLIA, SARS had just broken out, and it was the first airport we had been to where everyone was wearing those little white face masks, that's the only think I can remember about the airport.

China (Shenzhen S.E.Z.)
Interesting destination... business or pleasure?

QUOTE
Italy (twice, the second time got to watch Italy win the football world cup while in Rome, biggest party ever!)

Vatican City (twice)

Greece (just the one visit)
I think I saw the snaps from that on your bebo page- am I right in thinking you went on a Eurotrip with your mates a few years back?

We stayed at MiCasa (spelling?) Enjoyed K.L. the malaysian shopping malls are much, much better than New Zealand.

Trolley do you remember seeing (maybe from the Petronas Towers) the crossroads which were tow highways just north of the Petronas Towers?

(see the picture)

but we needed to find our hotel after arriving @ K.L. from Penang on the overnight train. We ended up finding the hotel but first we had to cross this road. The lights gave us under 10s. (As soon as we reached the other side, a large herd of busses and taxis wooshed past us)

Green is my rushed route.
Blue is the divider in the middle
Red is the lanes
