So, me (me being my family) was looking for a portable DivX player, to take with us on holidays etc, and I was looking around at solid state MP4 players.
Then I though, instead of a 2gig no name MP3 Player for $100, why not look for a CD based one, which has unlimited amounts of space (technically).

So I type in DivX into the portable audio and ipod section of trademe, and this came up

Which would you all get?
The Iriver which I would trust with all my life (having owned several Iriver products

Or something like this

Yes, the main feature for me would always be power consumption -- which isn't mentioned on Trademe.

I've got an Ipod 30gb Video, which I can fit 15 movies on, along with about 1500 songs. It was good going to Europe, the battery lasts for about two movies (assuming they are 90mins each). We've also got one of those portable DVD players, about $2-300. Ours is a Sony which we got at Farmers ( laugh.gif ), works really well, and also comes with the cords needed to attach it to a TV, so it can be used as a home DVD player too.

I would go for a DVD player, but they cost far too much, over the Irivers $80. Hmmmm. By the way, I am on a budget
