Well, my wife and i have made the decision to move to Australia, as we seem to be going no where fast work wise, so i am off at the beginning of October to find work, hoping for work in the mines of WA driving one of those 200-300 ton dump trucks, have got the licenses just no experience, but you never know, if that doesn't work i will drive trucks around there and find a job. my mum lives in Brisbane and sis lives in Melborne so i will be staying in Brisbane for a little while before i head to Perth to find work. Both reckon i will find work really easily. any of you lot in the areas i am looking at? if so let me know, might be able to say hi!!

it is a big step but i think it is time for it, my wife will be moving over once i am settled and have a home sorted, anyone got any tips or that i need to know,

i will still be on here but might not be around as much, and i will miss my flying too, but it has to be done

Jason

Good luck Jas.

My brother in law and his family live in Perth. He drives the big rigs out in the mines.

I've seen some photos and they are BIG. I'd hate to have to change a tyre on one.

even a standard truck tyre will do that, i have heard stories of those little tyre service trucks being thrown up in the air and tipped on their roof by a retreaded truck tyre exploding when it is being re inflated blink.gif

update, flight has been confirmed, will be flying out on pacific blue, on the 30 sept at 6amish. no comes the hard part, selling everything we own, starting to get there, but it is a big task, i am hoping to get some pics of the flight which i will post when i get set in aussie. thanks for the good wishes, my plans have changed slightly, i am going to try brisbane for a while, i know there are mines up in the northern queensland so i will try there first, then if nothing pans out there i will look at perth or driving trucks around brisbane. will keep you all updated

Take your digi cam with you if poss- try and snap some shots on takeoff and appoach perhaps?

I'm not sure what the lighting will be like at that time of the day in Auckland or Brisbane, but it would be criminal not to take advantage of a window seat! tongue.gif
