Any one else got Command & Conquer 3? I got Tiberium Wars today and freaking love it!!!

I'm a long time fan of the series, and unbelivably, it runs decently on my PC, although my multiplayer ping is rubbish..

yeah, it's always been a PC game to me.
I was never a big fan of C&C, I was never any good at getting resources in, so always suffered when coming to attack. I liked offline skirmishes in the days before real online gaming.

I've played it since the begining, the C&C series is probably the biggest game involving actors and movies. My favourite C&C moment would have to be when I cracked the Red Alert morse code message and beat the Giant ants campaign. Also the Jurassic park version was also quite funny. For online play we had a indoor network of 5 PCs and the original C&C rocked although there was chaos as 5 players on a map stole each others resources. I'll have to get C&C 3 although I dread it might interfere with my online flying for a week or so before I beat it. ;) BTW I notice that guy off Lost is on Nods side.

ahhhh the good ole days of Red Alert... with all its tank rushing and undefeatable MIG squadrons! we used to have some epic battles at my mates flat when I was at uni...

My fav part was when I learned to hack the cfg files... and I had grenadiers who had the Eye of NOD laser beams as weapons... was quite funny to watch as the rolled their arms over like they were throwing grenades, but then something would just explode...

hahahahaah

Haha awesome! How did you do that?

I'd like to try it for CNC3 and give my riflemen the attack and defense of a mamouth tank :P

In all the missions of C&C series I never once cheated(as I never knew how), but there were some missions I at times wished that I could until I found the weaknesses of the AI and exploited them.

There was a program called CCedit if i remember which allowed you to change everything from hit points, weapon, speed, cost etc of the units....

My favouritve was giving grenadiers the ballastic charge from the big self propelled howitzer and giving the basic machine gunner the high velocity machine gun from the perimeter towers (the sound of that machine gun was harrowing)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was what i was using... it was this little VisualBasic app that would allow you to hack it up as you liked...

the only problem with using the NOD laser was that you didnt get the animation... so things would just start randomly exploding... hahaah

I never actually cheated on the missions either... but never played it all the way through, coz we were too busy playing LAN games... much harder against humans!
