One movie I watched recently for the first time was On the Beach, released in 1959, so I guess I was too young at the time....
This really affected me, very relevant today, and although it was meant to be a wake-up call for the world, we still seem to be on the brink of it from time to time.

Ahhh yes based on the book by Neville Shute.
My parents both loved all his books. You're right Rob, it is very relevant these days.
The more I read about Ancient Rome for example, the more I'm seeing the world as it is today, politicly at least...nothing is new in some form or another.
What a self entitled , destructive species we are...and going nowhere fast.
