so funny, changing a light blub

A forum for everything else that does not fit into the other categories

Taken from the IVAO forum, can relate to everthing in this, absolutly brilliant!

How many forum members does it takes to change a light bulb?

It takes
1, who changes the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed

3, who post "did you?" with a sarcastic smily

1, who posts the CNN rice bag image.

1 who is the threadstarter to condemn the sarcasm and asking for the thread to get going properly.

14, sharing similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently.

7, cautioning about the dangers of changing light bulbs.

3, asking what the hell the threadstarter needs a lightbulb for

5 blaming the government for the broken lightbulb

3 finding that the opposition wouldn't have done it better

1 maniac who claims to have known the lightbulb inventor

8 who correct spelling/grammar errors in the previous posts

12 who flame the correctors, calling them smartarses

25 who correct the mistakes in the flame posts

6 who argue whether it is called "lightbulb" or "luminous body"

3 veterans who know that the lightbulb discussion has already taken place two years ago. They quote people no one knows anymore and accuse the threadstarter of plagiarism.

32 who note that the lightbulb question shouldn't be in the off-topic and should have been posted elsewhere.

1 moderator who moves it to the electrical section

2 other mods who argue then realise it's still not the right board and settle it in the lighting board.

36 who debate the best method of changing a lightbulb, where to buy the best lightbulbs, which method works best with which brand of lightbulb and which lightbulb is a wast of space.

12 who allegedly are perfectly happy with the disliked bulb brand and accuse the previous posters of being merchants of the liked brand who are posting hidden ads in the board.

5 to claim that the supportes of the disliked brand sit in the dark all day and hence no nothing about lightbulbs

3 who claim that they are lighting technicians so they know exactly what they are on about.

4 who emphasise that things will go better if you read and engage your brain before you post

2 who will refer to the search engine as always

6 to complain about the miserable level of customer service in their DIY markets.

2 who claim their DIY store personnel is always nice and that it isn't better in America anyway.

11 to advise that there are lighting specialist shops for a reason and that you only get what you pay for.

4 who get stuck in a shouting match about the heat resistance of lamp covers

13 who say indignantly that this is now completely off-topic and ask for a new thread to be started for that.

3 who ignore this request totally.

19 who post different links where you can see lightbulbs

7 who draw attention to partially incorrect URLs and post the correct ones

3 who write exactly the same as the person before and edit into their post: Oh, XYZ was quicker!

2 who start swearing vicously because they misinterpreted the previous post as insult

22 who quote the longest posts completely with "total agreement" as their own post beneath

4 friends and supportes of those insulted who call the trolls as cowards who haven't got the guts to show themselves and air suspicions as to who might be behind it.

8 who post 50 posts within one hour, all of them are of the same opinion, but they constantly talk past each other and reply very smartly, although they seem to wonder constantly, how to interpret the previous post

7 who only got attracted by the large numbers of posts and who have only read the last two posts of the thread just to lunge in because they want to be involved in a heated discussion

9 who explain to the previous 7 that everything has either been said or sufficiently proven wrong.

1 who posts an overwide image of his lightbulb so that you now have to scroll horizontally to read everything.

3 who ask how to insert pictures into posts

5 who refer them to the FAQ and post "Back to topic please!"

2 newbies who demand the deletion of their account beacuse this is a stupid board

8 who want to persuade the frustrated newbies to stay

2 who consider this a kindergarten because no one seems to have a clue as to what on earth this is all about

3 who decide to leave the discussion because "the level has slipped below our standards"

7 who will taunt jokingly with the fact that "the level always slips below their standards when they seem to run out of arguments"

4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"

13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"

the admin, who, having finally been attracted to the discussion because it goes way beyond any record, calls for order but forgets to lock the topic

and finally 1 forum lurker who digs up the thread after 6 months and responds just to get the whole thing started all over again.
