Interesting...

I personly dislike Ipods, everyone seems to have one, if someone offerd me one I don't think id even accept, horibly overpopular. and prety yuk looking, especialy those "shuffle ones" how are you ment to find the song you want to hear!?!!?

Give it some time and they will be "unpopular" or whatever.. and then theyl all go waste there money on some other thing, jsut for music, what happend to jsut a portable cd player, or, goodness forbid, a tape player :o  ]

Ipods, yuk yuk, still havnt even figured out how they got that name..

I dont have an ipod. I use this
http://www.pvp4u.com/images/iriverTI_IMP%2...mediaplayer.jpg

It plays MP3, WMA, AVI, DivX, everything. Great for watching Movies on long car rides, or on planes when all their movies are rubbish

I dont like Ipods because theyre too small, and I would end up loosing it.

Actually, I don't like ipods either (or ip-ods as I like to call them).
It's really just a status-symbol fashion accessory.
There are better, less expensive music players on the market that don't need irritating itunes software. And the accessories are too expensive (who wants to pay extra for a wall charger!?)
I just use my Nokia 6234 with a 1GB card, saves having to carry around an extra electronic device.

Excatly my thinking, some people say (you wont beleve this).."its more expensive thow" Its incredbily more logical to have one device that does both things. My next phone will have a media playing device.. Maks a hell of a lot more sense than one of those big ipods, higher risk of things getting stolen or lost when you have two as well. Who wants to steal jsut a noraml looking phone, when they can go steal an ipod of someone else.

no surprise then that Nokia are the world's largest manufacturer of cameras and mp3 players...
ok sure it's not 40GB like an ip-od, but would you even listen to every single song (i.e. 10,000 songs, 500 hours worth)?

I have an ipod video, and before you think I have too much money, it was an unexpected wedding present. Before getting it I thought as James did, that they were overpriced and I'd never need it anyway. But, they are very cool. The video one especially. I can watch podcast videos, and store like a zillion songs on it with the 30gb hard drive. I wouldn't be without it now, it's very handy. I'm listening to it on shuffle now while cruising over the Pacific. It's amazing the things you think you don't need, but when you actually get one, you realise how cool they can be ;)
Speaking of all things Ipod, check this out, it's funny :D

I won an Ipod from a competition at my local pharmercy. I sold it on trademe, I dont like them either.

I already have a old USB mp3 player which does the trick, but like Zolt, I just listen to music and watch videos on my phone.

My Samsung phone has everything. But only 8mb(13 songs-)
So I'm getting a Creative Vision M tomorrow. Lucky my cousin's coming over from America. $600 shared between me and my bro for 2 games, to mp3 players, @ gigs of RAM. Only the second time this has happened! Thank you U.S.A and the NZ dollar!

Well i have a 20GB Creative Zen touch....ive had for a 2.5 years with no problems. It was cheaper than the equivalent ipod. A girl i work with got her 20GB ipod at about the same time as me- She has sent it back twice because it stopped working, she paid more for it and now its out of warranty and is packing up again!

And to top it off, my model was rated as having better sound quality than the ipod as well as a 24hour battery life (compared to about 8 for her ipod)....

Wasnt the ipod voted worst consumer product of the year due to all its problems??
